About Academic Assistance and Tutoring
AAT provides academic support to undergraduate students enrolled in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Writing Across the Disciplines. Our instructional professional staff offer offers classes, workshops and office hours. To support our professional staff and the services offered, AAT hires nearly 300 undergraduate tutors to provide large drop-in service for students enrolled in over 40 math and science courses and over 300 courses in writing across the disciplines.
Academic Assistance and Tutoring (AAT) provides an inclusive and interactive environment where students participate to reinforce and retain knowledge in multi-disciplinary writing, math and science through workshops, individual sessions, drop-in tutoring, online resources, and supplementary courses provided by both professional staff and peer tutors. We strive to support students in developing the academic competence and confidence that will help them succeed at UC Davis.
Content support in math, science, and writing across the curriculum offered through: drop-in tutoring, weekly workshops, special topic workshops, online resources, office hours and individual appointments.
The UC Davis office for the Math Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP) is also housed within AAT and serves secondary schools throughout the area. (more)
