What is the Student Academic Success Center?
The Student Academic Success Center (SASC) is a large, multi-program Student Affairs department providing essential services, programs, and information for UC Davis students. Programs include: Academic support services in tutoring, retention, study skills, mathematics, science, writing/ESL , Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Guardian Scholars Program (GSP), Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project, Reentry and Transfer Student Services, Veterans Affairs (VA), TRiO Scholars Program, MURALS, International Student Resources, and Pre-Professional and Pre-Graduate Advising. In addition, it employs over 200 students as peer advisers, student assistants, tutors, and readers.
Where is the SASC located?
The Student Academic Success Center is located in Dutton Hall, South Hall, and The Cottage. Throughout these buildings are staff offices, classrooms, and services.
The Student Academic Success Center helps students thrive at UC Davis and beyond by providing academic, personal, social, and transitional support. Utilizing a holistic approach, we develop services which empower students to take responsibility for their learning. Consistent with the Principles of Community, the Student Academic Success Center strives to meet the needs of a dynamic and diverse student community.
