Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP)

MDTP is an intersegmental statewide project funded by the California State University, University of California and The California Academic Partnership Program. The program develops, distributes, scores, and reports the results of tests that measure student readiness for mathematics courses ranging from pre-algebra to calculus.

MDTP Goals

  • Helps California’s teachers better prepare students for future study in mathematics
  • Identifies topics and skills needed for success in mathematics, and
  • Brings secondary, college, and university faculty together for cooperative discussions about mathematics education
