Help support our mission of connecting students with Study Skills assistance in three ways:

Course Syllabus

To help share general information about our services with students, consider copying and pasting the following into your syllabus:

Study Skills at the Student Academic Success Center supports students in developing important academic skills such as time management, success strategies, and study skills (active reading, note taking, and test taking). Consider attending a workshop or scheduling an appointment to help maximize your learning in this course. More information can be found at studyskills.ucdavis.edu.

Referrals

Please refer students who express a need for more academic skills support. However, also consider reaching out and referring a student if you observe any of the following:

  • Excessive class absences or late arrivals

  • Low classroom engagement

  • Routinely not turning in assignments, or turning them in late

  • Poor academic performance on quizzes and exams

  • At risk of not passing the course

Classroom Visits

We are happy to a make classroom visit to share a five-minute overview of our services, or to present a 50-minute workshop. In particular we are interested in partnering with instructors of first-year, introductory courses.

Need to cancel class? Invite us to present instead.
